Rochester Man Busted in Undercover Flordia Child Sex Operation Sentenced
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Rochester man who was busted in an undercover child sex solicitation operation has been sentenced.

53-year-old Kyle Jo Werner entered a plea deal in March that called for him to admit to a charge of Engaging in Electronic Communication Relating or Describing Sexual Conduct with a Child in exchange for dismissal of four other charges.
Werner was charged with five felony counts last summer as a result of a police sting investigation conducted by authorities in Florida.
Charges: Rochester Man Sent Lewd Video of Himself to Florida Officer Posing as Underage Girl
The criminal complaint says a detective with the Coral Springs Police Department was posing as a 13-year-old girl online and contacted a Rochester police investigator after chatting with a Rochester man for several days.
At one point, the Rochester man sent a video to the minor girl, who was actually an undercover officer, depicting himself performing a lewd act, the court document says.
It was also alleged that he described sexual acts he wanted to perform on the young girl.
A Rochester police investigator then verified Werner's identity and found a tip from 2018 that accused Werner of using the same username to chat with undercover officers posing as 14-year-old girls.
An anonymous tipster also alleged that Werner was in possession of child sexual abuse materials at his home in 2023.
Rochester Man Avoids Prison for Child Sex Solicitation Conviction
Werner was sentenced to five years probation and a 30-day work-release jail term on Monday.
He was given credit for two days served and was ordered to begin the stint in jail on July 9.
