Single-Vehicle Crash claims Life of Southern Minnesota Man
Cosmos, MN (KROC-AM News) - A man from southern Minnesota lost his life in a traffic crash today in central Minnesota.
The State Patrol says the victim was in a pickup truck that went off Highway in Meeker County and crashed into a drainage ditch. The deadly incident was reported just before 11:45 AM on Highway 4 near the town of Cosmos, which is about halfway between Hutchinson and Willmar.
The State Patrol identified the man killed in the crash as 71-year-old David Hermel of New Ulm.
The crash report indicates he was alone in the pickup and was not wearing a seatbelt.
