State Patrol ID’s Driver Injured in Zumbrota Hwy. 52 Injury Crash
Zumbrota, MN (KROC-AM News)- The State Patrol has released more information regarding an injury crash that happened on Hwy. 52 in Goodhue County around 2:20 p.m. Friday.
The preliminary report indicates an SUV was traveling north on the highway when the vehicle went off the left side of the roadway into the median and struck a sign.
The State Patrol says the vehicle then went back across the highway into the east ditch where it struck another sign and a fence. Over the weekend officials identified the driver as 74-year-old Mary L. Steen of Lime Springs, IA.
She was brought from the crash scene to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Steen’s injuries are being described as non-life-threatening.
The Zumbrota Police Department and Zumbrota Ambulance also responded to the crash. The report says Steen was buckled up and that alcohol was not involved in the crash.
