
Winona E-Bike Rider Killed in Crash; Sun Glare Suspected
Winona, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol is assisting the Winona Police Department with the investigation into a deadly collision involving a car and an e-bike.
A statement from the Winona Police Department indicates the deadly incident occurred around 8 PM on Monday. A car traveling west on 6th Street collided with the battery-powered bicycle near the intersection with Liberty Street.

A preliminary investigation found that glare from the setting sun may have been a contributing factor.

The deceased rider of the e-bike has been identified as 67-year-old Michael John Ryan of Winona. Winona police identified the driver of the car as 54-year-old Gregory Ferriss.
