Stewartville, MN (KROC-AM News) - A traffic crash on the north edge of Stewartville this morning sent a St. Charles woman to St. Marys Hospital.

The State Patrol says 53-year-old Kristine Engstrand was driving south on Highway 63 when a northbound car turned left into the path of her SUV and the two vehicles collided. The collision also sent the SUV off the road where it crashed into a brick sign for a business park at the intersection of Highway 63 and Schuman Drive near the Taco Bell restaurant on the northern edge of Stewartville.

The State Patrol described Engstrand's injuries as non-life-threatening. The driver of the car, 81-year-old Joan Deg of Stewartville, was not hurt.

The crash was reported around 10:40 a.m.

Minnesota’s Longest Drive-Thru Light Show

The Kiwanis Holiday Light Display is free to the public but cash and non-perishable food donations are accepted. All money collected is given to area non-profits. Since opening in 2012 the event has raised more than $500,000 for local charities.
