Jacobs Financial Named Family-Owned Business of the Year
ST. CLOUD (WJON News) - The St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce has named Jacobs Financial as the 2024 Family-Owned Business of the Year.
Jim Jacobs was a partner in Jacobs, Willmore, and Associates when they moved to St. Cloud in 1979 and took over ownership of the business in 1992.
Dave Jacobs joined the firm after graduating from St. Cloud State University in 2002, and Andy Jacobs joined in 2003. Jacobs Financial has grown to include 7 advisors and 7 support staff, with plans to add several advisors this year, and are planning future expansions into the Brainerd and Maple Grove areas.
Andy says being a family-owned business changes your mindset.
I feel that trust is the most important thing when working with clients. We have to take it to another level because our name is on the sign on our building. We want to make sure that we're doing the right thing, not only for our clients but for the community as well.
In addition, he says the relationship Jacobs Financial has with the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce has been a part of their continued success.
When Dave and I got into the business 20-21 years ago we went to the chamber every week. It helped us connect with people, helped us find good relationships and clients, and other good business owners out there in the community to be able to work with.
The St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce 2024 Business Awards Luncheon is Wednesday, May 1st, at 11:30 am, at the Park Events Center.
