Festival Of Trees Begins, Brings Christmas Spirit To Eastern Iowa

The Christmas season is getting underway in downtown Davenport.

We may be a few weeks away from Christmas just yet but the spirit of the season is already in the QC. Quad City Arts' Festival of Trees begins for the 2023 season on Saturday, November 18th. It has a series of events to start the season, like the Holiday Parade at 10:00 a.m. and the Christmas Tree lighting at K-Square.

The Festival of Trees is set up in the RiverCenter. It will be a collection of over 100 beautiful decorated trees, special displays, children's activities, attractions, and special events.

Admission to the Festival of Trees is $10 for adults and $5 for kids. Besides the parade, they will also host other special events, including:

• Teddy Bear Tea (Nov. 19)
• SugarPlum Ball (Nov. 21)
• Celebrity Lunch (Nov. 22)
• Silent Disco (Nov. 25; 21+)

There will also be Santa visit times and CenterStage showcases featuring dancers, singers, students, and performers from around the Quad Cities. There will be Reindeer Games and a children's activity center, a treat shop, an art exhibit featuring the work of local high school students, Quad City Arts' gallery store, Tinsel Treasures gift shop, Festival Express train display, Gingerbread Village exhibit, and a new feature: an inflatable snowglobe.

Quad City Arts' Festival of Trees runs through November 26th. You can stop and take a look around at these times:

• Nov. 18: 9:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
• Nov. 19: 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
• Nov. 20, 21, 22: 24, 25: 9:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
• Nov. 26: 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Festival of Trees is closed on Thanksgiving Day.
