Here's the deal...I am going to find one of the many black yoga pants that I own, throw on a sports bra and tank top and show up at W.I.P Fitness on November 4th for a bungee class.  I've never taken one, so I'm a bit nervous that I will make an absolute fool out of myself, but I know this is also going to be a blast.

What is Bungee Fitness?

According to the W.I.P Fitness website, this type of exercise involves body weight and suspended bungees to create resistance and flight.  I know, that word "flight" sounds a little bit scary but if you've ever wanted to try to fly, this IS your chance.

What To Expect at a Bungee Fitness Class at W.I.P. Fitness in Rochester, Minnesota

I asked a bunch of questions about bungee fitness when I took a tour of W.I.P. Fitness the other day.  Mostly, I needed to know that this would be safe for me.  See, I had surgery in December and now have a beautiful piece of metal in my foot...and the scar to prove it.  I also have asthma and have been battling it a bunch the past few months.  Before I get strapped into a harness, I need to know that this is something that is safe for me.

The good news...it is!  Bungee Fitness is a low-impact type of class.  What this means is that although you'll have a great workout, your joints aren't going to feel the pressure as you are working out like they would if you were out running on the sidewalk.  And, if you need modifications, those are available too.

When you show up for a class, you will get set up with a harness that is secure.  The instructor will also teach you some of the basic movements.  Before you know it, you will be flying, laughing, and burning 350 to 800 calories in a class.
