If you were thirsty this past Saturday, there were about 90 lemonade stands with 500 participants ready to serve you a refreshing drink.
Several of the Lemonade Day stands were doing more than just selling a glass of lemonade to their guests. As I was stopping for a few glasses, I noticed several locations that were also giving back a portion of their sales or profits to a local charity - Paws & Claws and The Landing MN were both featured at various stops. According to the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce, the stand in the photo below was planning to dedicate half of its proceeds to Build-A-Bears for the NICU.
To all of the kids who participated in Lemonade Day...great job! It was a pleasure to meet a few of you, taste your amazing creations, and learn more about your business plan. See you next year!
