Iconic Mickey's Diner is Finally Open Again in St. Paul, Minnesota
Way back, when we were hunting for toilet paper and walking around with masks on, one of the many restaurants that closed in 2020 was the beloved Mickey's Diner at 36 7th Street W in St. Paul, Minnesota. The past four years, this 24-hour diner, housed in what looks like a vintage train car, has remained closed.
Google isn't saying that it is open yet but based on several reports, the open sign is back on and many enjoyed an amazing meal on Thursday at this treasured restaurant.

Is Mickey's Diner in St. Paul, Minnesota Open 24/7?
Since 1939, when it first opened, Mickey's Diner was known for serving food 24/7. In 1983, it even got added to the list of the National Register of Historic Places. While it was open 24/7, it even showed up in a few movies including the Mighty Ducks series and Jingle All The Way.
At the moment, 24/7 isn't the reality for hours but hopefully those pre-pandemic hours will surface soon. Based on a few other stories, it appears that at the moment, 7:00 am is when the diner opens each day. I saw reports that indicated the diner would stay open until the food was gone and others that said it would be open as late as 9:00 pm. Basically, I can't guarantee that if you showed up later in the day that you will be have a chance to eat at Mickey's Diner.
The good news though is that this is more of a soft-opening. Let the diner get everything figured out as they re-open after being shuttered for four years, show your support, but just be patient. A grand opening is coming soon and fingers crossed Mickey's Diner will have a seat for all of us 24/7 once again. When I hear more on that grand opening, I'll put those details over on my Facebook page - Jessica On The Radio.
