HOW TO KNOW WHAT HOUSES ARE PARTICIPATING:  The rule of thumb on Halloween for homes participating is the light by the front door.  If it is on, the house has a treat for you.  If it is off, do not ring the doorbell.

WHAT ARE THE HOURS FOR HALLOWEEN?  Minnesota doesn't seem to follow the same system as areas in Iowa and Wisconsin where they set days and times for trick-or-treating.  I've heard of some neighborhoods getting kids at their door as soon as school is over.  That's not really the norm, so maybe DON'T surprise your neighbor that early.  Goint out trick-or-treating just before it is completely dark until about 8:00 pm or 8:30 pm is fair game.

WHAT IS THE WEATHER GOING TO BE ON HALLOWEEN?  If you haven't been planning on wearing layers with costumes this Halloween, you will need to rethink that plan.  The forecast has been released for Minnesota and overall, it will be cold, wet in some areas, and even snow for others.  See that full forecast here.
