Big concert announcement! Carrie Underwood is coming to Minnesota this summer for a concert. You know it's going to be a party with her, she puts on a great show!

My first concert was actually a Carrie Underwood concert. She's an awesome performer so I'd highly recommend seeing one of her shows. And since she's coming to Minnesota in a few months, now is the perfect opportunity.

She'll be performing in southeast Minnesota in July at Treasure Island Casino. A big plus in my eyes: it's an outdoor show. A show outside in the summer just hits different.

Tickets to See Carrie Underwood in Minnesota

Tickets to her show go on sale via Ticketmaster this week, on Friday, March 17th, at 10 AM. Ticket prices start at $59, but I'd assume if you want a spot closer to the stage you'll have to pay a lot more than that.

The exact date of her show is Friday, July 21st. This is the perfect concert-goer setup. You'll be at a show outdoors in the summertime. There's a hotel right there that you can take advantage of. Plus it's happening on a Friday night, not, like, a Tuesday or something.

Other Outdoor Shows at Treasure Island

Treasure Island has lots of other outdoor concerts already lined up, and I'm sure they'll be adding more in the future. Right now, they've got Matchbox Twenty on June 10th, Jason Aldean on August 19th, and Trampled by Turtles on September 16th.

Carrie Underwood invested her money wisely after winning American Idol in 2005. One of her first big purchases was a 3,099-square-foot home in the well-to-do Nashville suburb of Franklin, Tenn. Underwood paid $384,000 for a luxurious 3-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom stone and stucco home in a private gated community.

The house features a library, a vaulted ceiling and lovely amenities throughout, but while it's very nice, it's certainly not the kind of home you'd picture for a budding country superstar. Underwood wound up being a huge success right out of the gate with her debut album, Some Hearts, and she sold the home in Franklin for $372,500 in 2007, when she purchased the Brentwood mansion that she would later share with her husband, Mike Fisher.
