Do you know what you're dressing up as for Halloween? If you need some ideas: The National Retail Federation says witches and vampires are always common with adults, Spiderman and Bluey will be popular with kids, and pumpkins and hot dogs are the top pet costumes. Boom! Now, you're entire family has a costume and you can attend the first ever "Candy Crawl" in downtown Rochester!

I'm always on the lookout for fun stuff to do with my kids so I was pretty excited to see the Halloween event that's planned for downtown Rochester later this month. (Check the 2023 Halloween Events Guide at the bottom of this story for even more things to do this month)

The special "Candy Crawl" will take place on October 28th so make sure you and your kids have your costumes ready so you can head downtown to load up on a ton of sweets.

The Historic Chateau Theatre and Rochester Downtown Alliance have teamed up to present the inaugural 2023 Downtown Candy Crawl on Saturday, October 28, from 12-3 p.m.

This will be a fun and safe Halloween activity for kids because this downtown Rochester event was actually designed with families in mind.

A DJ will be playing music for guests to enjoy as they play fun games, capture memories at the Peace Plaza photo booth, and embark on a thrilling trick-or-treating adventure throughout downtown.

The Candy Crawl event is scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. on October 28 at Peace Plaza, and the entire downtown area will be included in the trick-or-treating fun.

To help you navigate around all the participating local businesses, a map will be provided on the Rochester Downtown Alliance's website.
