Ring In The New Year at Rochester’s Biggest NYE Party Ever!

Rochester residents are invited to the first ever Celebrate Rochester NYE party at the Mayo Civic Center. Organizers have announced the details and say this all-day event will include a special time for families with kids and an adults only party. I'm super excited for this because I have two young kids so we don't typically do anything on New Year's Eve.

Several bands are lined up to play throughout the day at this free event which will also feature food, drinks, games, and other activities. Celebrate Rochester is Saturday, December 31st from 2:00pm - 12:30am. Below you can read about everything that's planned from roller-skating to ice-carving to a big ball drop.

Rochester New Year's Eve Party at Mayo Civic Center

Experience Rochester wants to make this party a community tradition. Admission will be free for everyone, but "donations are suggested to and will support area non-profits."

There will be a limited number of VIP tickets available. Experience Rochester says, "VIP ticket includes a reserved table with seating and VIP bar service, 2 drink tickets, light snacks, party favors, and a champagne toast at midnight!"

Is Rochester New Year's Eve Party at Mayo Civic Center Family Friendly?

Yes, families are encouraged to join in on the fun from 2:00pm-8:00pm. During that time guests can play retro arcade games, roller-skate, and enjoy delicious food from local vendors.

The Rochester Fire Department and Rochester Park and Recreation Department is hosting a "Thrive Outside" Winter Activities Trailer on the Center Street outdoor patio which will feature hot chocolate, a smores station, outdoor fire pits and interactive activities like Ice Carving.

Schedule: 

2:00 p.m. The family-friendly activities begin when the doors open. (Free admission!)

3:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Enjoy music from Clay Fulton and the Lost Forty and Push & Turn

5:00 p.m. A special ball drop for families with kids

Adults Only New Year's Party at Mayo Civic Center

You and your friends will be able to enjoy delicious food, drinks, and live music during the adults only party. A midnight ball drop is also scheduled with a champagne toast.

7:00 p.m. Doors Open for General Admission

Enjoy music from Hair of The Dog, Amateur the Band, Soul Train, and Coyote Wild.

Local breweries and food vendors will be serving throughout the night.
