A New Survey Just Said Minnesota’s Biggest Airline is Best in US
It just made news earlier this month for being highly rated, and the largest airline in Minnesota just placed on the top of another travel industry survey.
There's good news if you're doing some traveling this summer and are flying on the biggest airline here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Because Delta Air Lines was again ranked as the Best Airline in the Country according to the travel site, The Points Guy.
Delta, of course, has a major hub at the largest airport in Minnesota, the Minneapolis - St. Paul International Airport (MSP) in Bloomington, and I still kind of think of Delta as a 'Minnesota' airline, even though it's not headquartered here. Its corporate headquarters are in Atlanta, but since Delta merged with Minnesota's Northwest Airlines in 2008, Delta still has a major Minnesota influence.

And now, travel industry site The Points Guy just put Delta at the number-one spot on its list of the Best US Airlines of 2023. The Points Guy annual survey said that this year is the fifth consecutive year Delta has nabbed the top spot on their list, noting that Delta 'performed solidly across multiple categories — only taking low marks for its affordability (or lack thereof).'
It's just another honor for Delta. It was just a few weeks ago that Delta was named the best airline in the industry for this year for premium economy class according to the 2023 JD Power survey. And, back in January of 2023, Delta was named the best overall airline in the industry according to WalletHub, as well as being ranked as WalletHub's Most Reliable Airline for 2023.
Here is the entire Points Guys List of the Best US Airlines for 2023
- Delta Air Lines
- United Airlines
- Alaska Airlines
- American Airlines
- Southwest Airlines
- Hawaiian Airlines
- JetBlue Airways
- Spirit Airlines
- Allegiant Air
- Frontier Airlines
As I mentioned earlier, Delta merged with Minneapolis-based Northwest Airlines back in 2008. Northwest was one of those brands that was once huge here in Minnesota (kind of like Dayton's also was) but that now no longer exists. Which is the same for many of the following famous brands.
