The Minnesota State Fair announced it is increasing ticket prices in 2023, but there is a way you can get into this year's Fair while still paying *last* year's prices.

The Minnesota State Fair Board is the group that's in charge of putting on the Great Minnesota Get-Together every year. (The group's actual name is the Minnesota State Agricultural Society, btw.) They just held their 146th annual meeting on Sunday, January 15th where they decided several things about this year's state fair.

Specifically, they approved a plan to increase ticket prices this year. All ticket brackets will see a dollar increase in prices for the Fair this year. That will increase adult ticket prices to $18, while tickets for kids aged 5 - 12 will increase to $16. (Kids 4 and under are still free.) And pre-fair discounted tickets will be priced at $15 this year, up from $14 in 2022.

However, here's how you can go to the 2023 State Fair but still pay 2022 prices: Just buy your pre-fair discounted tickets right now.

Or before February 1st, 2023, anyway. Because all those new increases won't take effect until then. So, you can buy now and save yourself that extra dollar (which you can then use to buy something on a stick later this summer, right?)

While the Fair was canceled in 2020 and downsized in 2021 (say it with me now, "Due to the pandemic..."), attendance at the 2022 Fair bounced back and was the fifth-best attended in State Fair history.

You can get more information about the Fair's ticket prices-- and get your pre-fair discount tickets-- HERE. And, while they're still crunching the numbers from the 2022 Fair, keep scrolling to check out which exhibitors made the most money at the Fair in 2021!
