How was the Best Pizza in America list compiled?

Yelp identified businesses in the pizza category, then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and number of 5-star reviews each business had that were written by members of the Yelp Elite Squad.

No shocker here - Chicago holds the crown for the absolute best pizza in the country which can be found at Pequod’s Pizzeria. Coming in second is Bestia in Los Angeles, and rounding out the top three is the iconic Lombardi’s Pizza in NYC.

Although the two Minnesota spots didn’t crack the top 10, it’s still pretty impressive to make the list at all. And hey, not a single pizza place from Wisconsin or Iowa even made the cut!
