Time Is Running Out For Holiday Shipping In Minnesota
The clock is ticking and time is running out to get those packages you ordered online to your house here in Minnesota in time for Christmas.
Christmas may still be over a week away, but you only have a few days left to order those last-minute gifts online in time to have them delivered to your house here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes in time for the big day.
Online shopping exploded three years ago during the pandemic but is still very much a thing this year for many Minnesotans. In fact, according to this story on holiday shopping trends from marketing firm Tinuiti, 75 percent of us here in the Bold North will do at least *some* of our holiday shopping online (likely from our phones) this year.

This also means, of course, that three-quarters of Minnesotans will also be having at least a few packages delivered to their homes this year. And that's where time is NOT on your side, especially if you're going to order more online gifts and hope that they'll make it to the Gopher State in time for Christmas.
With Christmas Day (December 25th) occurring on a Monday this year, many shipping services won't be offering overnight shipping on Christmas Eve (December 24th), which means we've lost an entire day this year.
And, in fact, there is already one holiday shipping deadline that has already passed: CNET says the deadline to use Amazon's free shipping service for delivery by December 23rd, 2023, was Wednesday, December 13th. You can still order items on Amazon for delivery by Christmas, but it'll cost you to have them shipped.
