Nostalgic! 5 Wisconsin Dells Attractions That Never Get Old
I just took a trip back to Wisconsin Dells the past couple weekends and wow—instant nostalgia as I drove past all the attractions I used to visit as a kid.
Every summer as a kid, my parents would plan a trip to take me and my sisters to Wisconsin Dells with our cousins. We'd spend the entire weekend at Mt. Olympus theme park, ride all the rollercoasters, go-karts, and enjoy the gigantic waterpark. It was so much fun!

After taking a road trip to the Dells the last two weekends, it felt like I was time-traveling back to the early 2000s. Some stuff just never gets old, like mini golf, go-karts, the upside-down White House and the boat tours my parents never let me go on. Tell me if you remember all of these attractions when you visited as a kid (even if you only passed by!). They're still around!
Nostalgic! 5 Wisconsin Dells Attractions That Never Get Old
- Mt. Olympus theme & waterpark
The one rollercoaster I used to love riding was Hades 360 because it went under the parking lot. It gave you a crazy adrenaline rush because you were flying in pitch black underground for a few seconds. The nuttiest ride ever!
- Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf
The only reason I ever wanted to play mini golf here was for the free ice cream. Whoever wins in your group, they get free ice cream afterwards! It's still a thing, I only know that because I got my free scoop last weekend!
- Dell's Boat Tours
My parents never let me go on the boat tours, but as an adult I am going to finally do it this summer. I love spending my adult money on things I was deprived of as a kid.
- Tommy Bartlett Exploratory
This is a virtual reality experience with mirrors, magic, holograms and over 150 interactive displays. This is the sister attraction to the long-running Tommy Barlett Thrill Show that I also never got to experience!
- Ripley's Believe It Or Not
If your kids love safaris, exploring, and discovering peculiar things, this is the museum to take them to. Illusions, stories, and art can be explored through all their hidden rooms!

I also discovered a cool hangout spot in the Dells: The Grateful Shed. It has food trucks, bars, retro vibes, and VW vans you can dine in. One of the funkiest places I've been to in Wisconsin. Definitely a must-visit for lunch or dinner!
If you grew up going to Wisconsin Dells with your family, this might be a sign to take a little throwback road trip soon.
