Love Park and Machesney Park are teaming up once again for one giant, magical, free holiday celebration!  This is one of the coziest nights of the season.  Are you going?

Light Up The Parks on November 23rd

Starting at 5:30pm, the Christmas Tree Light kicks off at Loves Park City Hall.  Shortly after, at 5:35pm, the fireworks begin, along with Christmas music!  It's the kind of moment everyone just stops talking for a second and soaks it all in.  The lights, the tree sparkling, and suddenly it's officially the holidays.

At 5:45pm, the parade starts at 100 Heart Blvd, and the coolest part is that everything glows!  Floats will be covered in lights, decorations, and yes, candy for the kiddos.  If you're an adult, don't think you can't scream for a little candy, too!

Don't worry, after the parade, take the kids to see Mr. and Mrs. Claus, grab hot drinks and pastries at The Vintage Goose, and enjoy a night full of magic with you entire family.  If you're used to staying in Rockford for all the holiday festivities, maybe branch out this year and see what the rest of the Stateline has to offer!  Start on the 23rd in Loves Park and end the month in downtown Rockford for Stroll on State on November 29th!

The 29th actually has a ton of events happening in Rockford, find everything you need to visit while you're celebrating here.
