3 Movies Revealed For Friday Night Flix in Downtown Rockford

Friday Night Flix starts this month and we're so excited to catch all the free movies at the Coronado this summer!

2010 was an exciting year for Rockford because Friday night Flix officially kicked off for the very first time at Davis Park in downtown Rockford.  Since then, it has been a popular gathering spot for families and friends when summer comes around.

Food trucks, fun activities for the kiddos, and finding the perfect seat to watch a free movie at Davis Park is what a lot of families look forward to at Friday Night Flix.  They'll be relocating since Davis Park is undergoing renovations right now.

Friday Night Flix in Rockford Shifts to the Coronado This Summer 2025

"While Davis Park is undergoing renovations, Friday Night Flix is moving down Main Street to the Coronado Theatre. Moviegoers will enjoy family friendly activities and food vendors before the movie plays on the big screen!"

The signs are up at the Coronado already, too!  This is going to be so fun.

2025 dates: June 13 (Wicked) • July 11 (Moana 2) • August 1 (Inside Out 2)

If you haven't been in the last few years, maybe this is a sign to check out how it's all going down at the Coronado!  I'm excited, a go a few times every summer when there's a movie I really want to see.

I couldn't miss Aladdin, Toy Story, or Shrek last summer!  Such iconic movies.
