The Shocking Truth About Pizza Lovers in Illinois
Illinois, we have a problem. According to a new nationwide survey, we’re barely in the top 20 states that order the most pizza. Barely! How does the home of deep dish, tavern-cut, and late-night slices from that one spot that only takes cash not rank higher? It’s like finding out Wisconsin doesn’t like cheese… it just doesn’t compute.
States Outslicing Us? Unacceptable

Apparently, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina—yes, South Carolina- are topping the list for most “pizza near me” searches. Meanwhile, Illinois, where “what’s your favorite pizza place?” is basically small talk, didn’t even crack the top ten. Somewhere, a Giordano’s deep dish just deflated in disappointment.
Maybe We’re Just Too Advanced for the Algorithm
Look, maybe we’re not Googling pizza because we already know where to go. We don’t need a search engine to tell us the best spots. We’ve been training for this our whole lives.
