Freeport To Host Pretzel Fest This Spring With Attempt To Break World Record

When you live in Illinois, you are lucky because you get to experience all four seasons. Now, some you might not enjoy as much as others, but it's a trade-off. Obviously, we all look forward to spring after a long winter, especially because of all the great outdoor activities. One to look forward to that's not too far from Rockford is Pretzel Fest in Freeport.

Downtown Freeport will come alive on April 25 as the Greater Freeport Partnership hosts its annual Pretzel Fest, featuring a full day of family-friendly activities, community celebration, and a brand-new, record-breaking event: The Great Pretzel Bite.

 

The Pretzel Festival makes so much sense because Freeport is also known as Pretzel City. In honor of the nickname, the residents will be attempting to break a world record at the event. It's the great pretzel bite. They will try to have the most people ever take a bite of a pretzel at the same time. I love the idea.
