I met this guy my freshman year of college at Illinois State University. He was on his way back to the dorms after spending several hours at a house party drinking out of a keg. Needless to say, he was really drunk. He passed by an apartment with a car running and unlocked out front. It was a pizza delivery driver's vehicle. Well, this dude decided to take it for a joyride. He didn't get very far before he crashed. The suspect went to jail for that crime. My question is, what was he thinking?

A Peoria woman was arrested Thursday evening after allegedly stealing a Bartonville police squad car. Brittany M. Potter, 30, was arrested on multiple charges, including motor vehicle theft, according to the Bartonville Police Department.

Police in Bartonville were called about a speeding SUV, and when officers arrived on the scene, the truck had crashed. They arrested the driver. Once in the back of the squad, the woman told the cops that she had hit a pedestrian. When they went back to investigate, the woman crawled through the cage in the backseat and took off in the police car.

The suspect drove the squad car for a few miles, then ditched it in a parking lot. At that point, she took off on foot. The woman was able to catch a ride with a stranger. He was later questioned by the officers, and he shared the fugitive's location. When the police arrived, she was still there, so they arrested her. Not a smart move on her part. What was she thinking?
