IL Police Are Looking For Woman Who Stole Giant Dinosaur

Thieves in Illinois aren't afraid to steal anything, now police in Joliet are searching for a woman who stole a giant decorative dinosaur from the front of the poor victim's home.

Giant Decorative Dinosaur Stolen From In Front Of A Home In Illinois

A couple of years ago, we had some flowers stolen off the front porch of our home. Last year, one of our Christmas inflatables was taken out of our yard. We were upset about it, but unfortunately those things happen. I'm guessing that it was more likely to be some teenagers pulling a prank than some serious criminal because the items weren't a lot of money. I'm not proud of it, but back in the day my friends and I were kids like that.

Not all crimes investigated at the Joliet Police Department involve murders, sexual assaults and aggravated batteries involving great bodily harm. Sometimes the crimes involve dinosaurs. That's right. Dinosaurs.

There was a similar type of situation that happened at a home in Joliet. At first, I thought this was for sure a prank done by a group teenagers. Especially, because of what the item was. The stolen merchandise was a giant topiary T-Rex. Apparently, Home Goods sold them last season. It looks like something Edward Scissorhands made out of a bush.

Well, in this day and age, it's much harder to get away with those teenage pranks because many people now have security cameras. The owners of the dinosaur did. The suspect wasn't what you would expect. It was an older woman working by herself. She saw the yard decoration, pulled over, grabbed the T-Rex, put it in her truck, and took off. The local police are looking for her and sharing the video on social media.
