Look Out Illinois chefs and restaurants because Wisconsin is now home to two of the best foodie cities in the United States.

Two Of The Best Foodie Cities In The United States Are Located In Wisconsin

As long as I can remember, Illinois has been a big foodie state. Chicago definitely helps its credibility. I would put the Land of Lincoln against anywhere else. Sorry, in my opinion no where else is close. Okay, I'm bias. Now, don't take this the wrong way, but I never felt like Wisconsin was even close. It just isn't their thing. I'm a big fan of brats and cheese curds, but it's nothing like you can find in the Windy City. Well, I'm not afraid to admit I'm wrong and I was completely off with this whole thing.

The latest rankings for foodies cities were recently released by WalletHub and the results were pretty surprising. In the top 55, Wisconsin had two entries and Illinois only had one. How shocking is that? Sitting at number 53 is Madison. I can see that. It's a big college town with lots of culture. The cheese heads second one is Milwaukee and it's at number 24. That city hosts some major food festivals, so I understand that too.

For Illinois' only entry in the top 55 foodie cities is no surprise. Of course, it's Chicago. I was expecting it to be in the top 10. Not only is it not ranked that high, it's actually sitting behind Milwaukee at number 25. How is that even possible? Our state better step up its game because that is unacceptable.
