Experience a Time When the Chicago Bears Didn’t Suck This Weekend in Rockford
If your will to live as a loyal Chicago Bears fan is dying, this fun vintage event happening in Rockford might just be the miracle cure you need!
Tough to Be a Bears Fan
Ah, the Chicago Bears, a team that once roared louder than a Walter Payton stiff-arm but now limps along like a third-string quarterback. I may not follow football religiously, but even I know that it's a rough lot in life to be a Chicago Bears fan. I mean, seriously, how can anyone handle having their heart ripped out repeatedly every week?!?
If you're ready to throw all your Chicago Bears wear in the garbage and find a new team to love, DON'T! There's a fun vintage Bears event happening this weekend at Bourbon Street Lounge in Rockford that may restore hope that someday, somehow, the Bears will rise again.
'85 Bears Superbowl Watch Party
This Sunday, (January 12), Bourbon Street Lounge (formerly RBI) at 3870 N Perryville Road in Rockford is hosting a 1985 Chicago Bears Super Bowl Watch Party that’ll remind us of the glory days when the Bears didn’t just play football, they dominated it.
The fun kicks off at noon, and trust me, you won't want to miss it. Not only will you be able to watch the Bears play GOOD football, but there will also be a Mike Ditka look-a-like contest, plenty of food and drink, AND you get the chance to wear your best Bears merch proudly again!
Sadly, as a Bears fan, this will be the closest thing you'll get to a championship celebration in 2025, and for once you won't have to question your life choices on Sunday.
Admission to the 85 Bears Super Bowl Watch Party is free and you don't need to RSVP in advance, BUT you do need to arrive early to claim your bar seat number, so don't forget to set your calendar reminders.
Remember: it’s not just a watch party; it’s a coping mechanism we all need right now.
Here's one more thing to get you in the mood...(I especially love one of the comments on the video that says; "Packers fan here. No team had the swag that the 85 bears had. Ever." Amen, bruh!
