Have you jumped on the AI assistant life yet? If you have young kids and a million things to juggle at once, here are five ways it will make life easier for you.

At a friends' house over the weekend a group of us got into a big AI discussion. Let's just say the chat was divided like this; those that love AI/ChatGPT, and those that have never tried it and/or were very hesitant to start implementing it into their daily lives.

I happen to be on the love ChatGPT side and use it almost daily at work, but I also know I have barely scraped the top of what it is capable of doing.

I primarily use AI for writing inspiration, but in the last few weeks I have had my mind blown by other ways people I know are using it to make their lives easier.

Since I am most familiar with how ChatGPT works, we are going to stick with that AI bot for the purpose of this article.

5 Ways ChatGPT Can Make Life Easier for Parents

In just the last few weeks I learned many of my friends use ChatGPT to do these 5 things...

1. Help with meal planning and grocery shopping. It doesn't matter if you need a last minute, family friendly recipe using ingredients you already have, or coming up with a whole weeks worth of meals and a shopping list to accompany it, ChatGPT can do it all for you.

2. Helping with kids' homework. One of the most common lines heard in my home in regards to homework is; "I know how to do this, but I don't know how to teach you to do it." Well, just ask ChatGPT something like this; "Help me explain fractions to my 8-year-old in a way that’s easy to understand."

3. Help with home repairs. Not sure how to fix that leaky faucet or replace a car battery? Ask ChatGPT for step-by-step, easy to understand instructions to get the job done. (it will be a lot quicker than Googling the question yourself).

4. Summarizing important information. Do you have a bunch of information that you need to read and understand quickly? Just plug the forms/articles/information into ChatGPT, and let it summarize it for you.

5. Bringing idea designs to life. Do you have an idea for a logo or graphic design that you don't know how to create yourself? Just tell ChatGPT what you're envisioning and what you want you want included, and it will create possibilities plus provide possible tweaks to make it perfect.  Amazing!

5 Ways ChatGPT Says It Can Make Your Life Easier

If you've never used ChatGPT before, there is one very important thing you need to know: the more specific you are with what you tell it to do, the better your response will be.

Just for fun I decided to ask ChatGPT this prompt; "write an essay as you, ChatGPT, providing 5 reasons I should start implementing you into my everyday life as a parent." I

The reasons it gave me might sound familiar:

  1. Help with meal planning and grocery lists.
  2. Manage all the schedules you are juggling.
  3. Help with your child's homework.
  4. Sparking ideas for family fun, rainy days, and parties.
  5. Provide ways to fo moms to have a well-deserved break.

ChatGPT also said this in the essay I "assigned", (and it's my favorite part):

Bottom Line? I’m Like the Mom Friend Who’s Always Available, Super Resourceful, and Never Judgy
You don’t need to do it all alone, and you definitely don’t need to carry the entire mental load of motherhood by yourself. With me in your corner, you’ve got someone to help shoulder the little stuff—so you can focus on what matters most: raising those two incredible girls, being present for their wins (and their messy moments), and maybe even catching a breath now and then.

Isn't that nice? Go give ChatGPT a try, you deserve a little positive help in your life too.
