Igloo Dining Coming Soon to Capri Restaurant in Loves Park

Capri Restaurant is giving us another festive reason to come visit its new location in Loves Park this holiday season, and it has nothing to do with their delicious food.

Capri Restaurant's New Location

When Capri Restaurant's original location on East State St. in Downtown Rockford caught on fire in October 2022, the owners had to make a difficult decision after the flames were extinguished. Pour tons of money into renovating and repairing the current building OR start afresh someplace new?

Capri's owners eventually decided to set up shop in Loves Park instead, returning temporarily with carryout and outdoor dining services only.

Two and a half years after the fire, Capri finally reopened for indoor dining in its new location at 6480 E Riverside Road in June 2025, and now they're giving us two new reasons to visit them in Loves Park.

New Additions Coming to Capri Restaurant

Capri Restaurant's Loves Park location not only features a horseshoe bar and indoor dining space, but it has a lovely outdoor space which is getting a special glow up this holiday season:

I think igloo dining at restaurants is one of the cool (pun intended) things the COVID pandemic left us with back in 2020, and enjoying delicious Capri food in a cozy, festive, and private space is even cooler. I know my kids will love this!

Igloo reservations are not available yet at Capri, but there is one more new thing coming to the restaurant just in time for Christmas: a merch stand!

I know of a couple pizza lovers on my Christmas gift giving list that would love to snuggle up in a Capri blanket, and I can't wait to see what other branded items will be available to purchase soon!
