
Illinois Drivers Say Their Roads Are Bad, but One State Beats Everyone
Winters in the Midwest are tough, snow mixed with ice and then salt to remove the ice, and the plows that are used to remove the snow and ice are one toxic combination that makes roads bumpy and full of holes.
Rockford Potholes Didn’t Make the Worst Roads List
I guess I am not all that surprised to see one Midwest city way up at the top of the Pep Boys Worst Roads in America list. For as much complaining you hear in Rockford about potholes, and believe me, I agree, you'd think the Forest City would at least be a shoo-in for a Top 30 spot, but it didn't even make the list.

Only One Illinois City Earned a Spot
Actually, only one city in Illinois got any recognition, and that's the Windy City, Chicago, which came in second overall. Indiana had two cities in the Top 30 with Lafayette and Evansville, but the real standout, if we should call it that, is Florida.
Florida Dominates the Worst Roads in America Ranking
Seven different times out of the Top 30, a city in Florida was mentioned on the list, including the number one spot, which went to Orlando-Daytona Beach, with Panama City coming in at number three, right behind Chicago.

Reminder: Illinois Roads Could Be Worse
So just remember, the next time you hit a pothole in either Chicago or Rockford or anywhere in Illinois, it could be worse; you could be driving in Florida.
