Budget-Friendly Way to Experience the Illinois State Fair

The Illinois State Fair is offering several themed promotional days featuring free or discounted admission for our qualifying guests, making it possible to experience one of Illinois' biggest annual events without breaking the bank.

Visitors who plan their trip around the fair's special promotions can take advantage of several discounts.

Theme Days Offer Big Savings

Some of the highlighted Theme Days include free admission for Veterans and Gold Star Families Day. Seniors and Scouts in uniform get in free on Monday, August 17, for Senior and Scout Day.

On Tuesday, August 18, everyone can take advantage of TWOsday, with $2 admission for adults and seniors.

Other than themed days throughout the fair include Agriculture Day, Governor's Day, and Park District Conservation.

Free Nightly Concerts Add Even More Value

You may not realize there's world-class entertainment happening for free at the Grand Central Stage beginning at 7:30 pm every evening, including:

If you're attending any event in the Grandstand, you'll need to follow the clear bag policy. Bags must be clear and no larger than 14 inches by 8 inches, with exceptions for medical and diaper bags.

And remember that if you leave a Grandstand event, you'll have to go through security screening again.
