Before we talk about this Council Bluff man from 2012, I have to say that this is insanely dangerous and this guy is lucky he didn't hurt himself or worse, someone else. Pretty stupid move and you should never do this.

Now that, that part is out of the way...this guy has a huge set of you know what on him. What an insane feat for this non-official, official record. I'm not sure if anyone will ever beat the fastest speeding ticket ever recorded in Iowa.

Unofficial-Offical Record

Back on August 5, 2009, a man named James Foldenauer was cited for going 89 mph through a construction zone, according to Motor Authority. James had a riding partner and the woman who was riding her motorcycle did pull over for authorities, James decided to do the exact opposite of slow down and pull over.

Instead of stopping, James opened up the throttle and weaved through traffic while splitting between cars. His 2003 Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle is capable of traveling 200 mph with some modifications, according to Motor Authority.

While James was able to evade the patrol cars...he was not able to evade the Iowa State Patrol's aircraft. The pilot of the aircraft, Scotty Pigsley, was able to clock James' speed by using markings in the road and a stopwatch. James was clocked at traveling 188 mph. Via the aircraft, Scott was able to follow James to his Council Bluffs home.

Hopefully, holding the title of fastest speeding ticket in Iowa is worth the bragging rights because it sure cost him a few bucks. He faced a one-year suspension of his license, up to two years in prison for eluding police, some mountainous fines, and some serious legal bills.

Your Fastest Speeding Ticket?

What's the fastest speeding ticket you've ever received? Were you going 15,20, maybe even 25 over? I've always had the opinion that when you're driving a vehicle, there are so many things that are out of your control. You can't control the climate, you can't control other cars, and you can't control things that show up on the roadway. Do you know what you can always control? How fast your car/motorcycle is going.

I'm someone who goes about 3 mph over the speed limit, just so I travel with most of the speed of traffic. If you're going 70 mph while driving on 380, you're just hoping you don't get run off the road.

*Knock on Wood* but I've only been pulled over for speeding once and I was going 4 mph over the limit. Thankfully I was issued a warning. I hate going more than 75 mph. I can't imagine going 188.
