Congratulations to our Teacher of the Month for May, Lori Young of Albany High School! Ms. Young is a Family and Consumer Science teacher at AHS and was nominated by Deb:

Lori is always going out of her way to make her students successful. She is constantly thinking about out of the box for ways to prepare students for their lives as adults. If a student is struggling, she will reach out to parents with her concerns. She remembers all her students long after they graduate from high school. She takes her responsibilities as a teacher very seriously.

For winning Teacher of the Month, Ms. Young was presented with a certificate good for two brunches at Coyote Moon Grill, $75 to St. Cloud Floral and goodies from Great Harvest Bread. In addition, she received a personalized water jug and a plaque commemorating her achievement.

If you know a teacher who is going above and beyond the call of duty, nominate them HERE for Teacher Of The Month. It could be your former teacher, your child's current teacher, your next-door neighbor who teaches... ANY teacher in your life that you think is deserving.

It takes just a couple of sentences to nominate someone, and it could result in us showing up to their classroom unannounced to give them the surprise of a lifetime!
