Quad Cities Comics Get Together For a Good Old Fashioned Roasting

They say laughter is the best medicine, and I know I certainly need a heaping dose of some belly laughs.  Friday, March 29th, I-Rock 93.5 will be hanging out at The Blackhawk Room in Moline for Quad City Memes Presents: Roast Battle 2024. This one-of-a-kind event will feature eight local comedians in a battle royale of sorts all vying for a cash prize, trophy, and most importantly, bragging rights.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with the show starting at 7:00 p.m., $10 at the door.  There will be eight comics in the roast battle, with three rounds of back-and-forth jokes. There will also be three special guest judges to keep things on the up and up.  You can also expect bonus stand-up sets from James Draper and Chris Startman.

The Blackhawk Room is located at 1423 5th Ave in Moline between The Beirstube and Broken Saddle.  Entrance and parking is in the rear (that's what she said).

The Friar's Club in New York City has one of the best mottos of all time, and it's been something I've taken to heart more times than I can count.  "We only roast the ones we love".  Come on out to The Blackhawk Room on Friday, March 29th, and see how the real comedians show their love for each other, and get some good laughs in as well.
