Large Theft of Sports Memorabilia Reported in Stewartville
Stewartville, MN (KROC AM News) - An area avid sports memorabilia collector is reporting a large loss of his property.
The man reported the loss last week. He told Olmsted County deputies he returned to a residence he owns in Stewartville to discover the theft.
Reported missing were 120 autographed baseballs, 40 autographed Twins jerseys, 10 autographed Vikings jerseys, and 10 rare baseball cards. Also missing were 4 gold coins and some other items and about $300 in cash. The man reported the value of the stolen items was around $14,500.
There was no sign of forced entry.
The man told deputies he lives part-time at the Stewartville residence, located in the 2100 block of Petersen Dr. NW. He says the theft occurred while he was away between Dec 13 - 27th.
