La Crosse, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Houston County man will spend at least 35 years in Wisconsin prison for the murder of a La Crosse man.

32-year-old Timothy Young went before the Wisconsin judge this morning and was sentenced to life in prison with eligibility for supervised release after serving 35 years behind bars. The Spring Grove man was also ordered to pay almost $490,000 in restitution.

Young pleaded guilty to a first-degree murder charge in March when he admitted shooting and killing an employee of a downtown La Crosse bar last summer. Prosecutors say Young had been refused entry into the bar and later returned with a gun. He then shot 19-year-old Anthony Fimple in the head before speeding away in his car. La Crosse police arrested him about half an hour after the fatal shooting.

Fimple died from his injuries the next day. He had enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was sent to report for boot camp last August.
