McDonald’s Now Delivers In The Twin Cities – Is Rochester Next?
I gained five pounds just thinking about this being a possibility in Rochester.
Apparently, 19 McDonald’s locations in Minneapolis and St. Paul are now offering home delivery. I can’t tell you enough how much I would have loved (and massively abused) this service when I was in college. The idea of being able to have a Big Mac Combo (and maybe an extra cheeseburger or “two”) delivered right to my door is both extremely enticing and terrifying.
So how does it work? You can order from McDonald’s by using the UberEATS app on your phone or by going to UberEATS.com. I’ve never used this app before, but they say you can also track your order to see how far the driver is from your location.
No word on this service coming to Rochester, but McDonald’s has been testing out this service in other metro areas, so it seems like a possibility if it ends up taking off. The service is allegedly popular with the younger crowd, mainly in the evening. HMM I WONDER WHY.
By the way, if you’re ever visiting the Twin Cities and want to give this a try, use the promo code MCDSMILE to save $5 off your order. Score!
