Minnesota COVID Stats Remain Fairly Stable
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - Minnesota's positivity rate for COVID-19 testing has only hit 5-percent once during the past two weeks.
The daily update on the pandemic from the State Health Department shows 728 new infections were detected by the approximately 16,700 tests completed on Saturday. That works out to a positivity rate of about 4.3-percent. Just 8 new cases were found in Olmsted County.
The Department of Health reported 6 additional coronavirus-related deaths, which pushed the overall death toll since the start of the pandemic in Minnesota to 1767. The number of COVID-19 hospitalizations remains stable with 301 people currently hospitalized due to the viral infection and 137 being treated in intensive care units.
