On Tuesday evening, around 9:23 PM a Minnesota man was killed in a farming accident.

It happened near a small town called Bee, which Bring Me the News reports is "an incorporated community on the Minnesota side of the border."

The person killed was a 64-year-old Minnesota man, Gerald Oren Myhre, from Caledonia. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Iowa's Allamakee County Sherrif's and Minnesota's Houston County Sheriff's both responded. When they got to the field they found that Gerald had been run over by the combine "when the combine was backing up to unload corn into a wagon."

Bring Me the News reports that the "Allamakee County Sheriff's Office is handling the investigation into the accident."

While you're out in the field this harvest season, please be safe!
