Minnesota Man Killed in Freeway Crash
Hinckley, MN (KROC-AM News) - One person was killed and two others were critically injured in a crash Friday afternoon in northeastern Minnesota.
The State Patrol says 45-year-old David Greiner of Garfield was pronounced dead at the scene after he was involved in the near head-on collision on I-35 near Hinckley. Greiner was driving north on the freeway when a vehicle traveling south crossed the median into the northbound lanes and collided with his SUV around 4 PM.
The driver of the other vehicle was identified as 21-year-old Tabitha Sigler of Cambridge. She and her passenger, 36-year-old Santino Chavez of St. Paul, were transported to hospitals in the Twin Cities with life-threatening injuries. The crash report notes that Sigler was not wearing a seatbelt while her passenger and the man killed in the crash were seatbelted.
