Minnesota’s Largest Bloody Mary Festival is 75 Miles From Rochester
It's the biggest Bloody Mary Festival in Minnesota, it's only 75 miles from Rochester, and it's happening this weekend!
The Bloody Mary Festival is a traveling celebration all about creating the biggest, most outlandish and delicious Bloody Marys out there. It has hosted festivals all across the country and is coming back to Minnesota to Minnesota this weekend.
This year's Minnesota Bloody Mary Festival is set for Saturday, October 2nd at Union Depot in St. Paul-- just a little over an hour away from Rochester. It's apparently pretty popular, because according to the Bloody Mary Festival website, tickets appear to be sold out for both sessions tomorrow. However, you CAN still join the waitlist for the first special VIP session on Saturday.
If you're not familiar, The Bloody Mary Festival describes its roving parties like this:
Now in its 8th year, The Bloody Mary Festival is the largest event of its kind - each city's Festival brings together the best Bloody Marys made by local bars, restaurants and craft mixes. Attendees taste them all before voting for the coveted People's Choice Award. The Festival is much more than Bloody Marys! Tastes from local food and beverage companies, live music, photo ops and a panel of expert judges add to the day's festivities.
If you can't make it up to St. Paul tomorrow but still want to get your drink on, might I suggest heading to the largest craft beer festival in southeast Minnesota? It's going on right here at Mayo Civic Center on Saturday, October 30th. I'm talking about Rochester On Tap! It's going to be great-- with over 50 craft breweries sampling over 100 incredible craft beers, plus other events, games and activities too.
