1863-In response to a federal law saying all Dakota will be removed from the State of Minnesota as punishment from the US-Dadota War, 1;310 captives are loaded on two steamboats and sent to a reservation on Crow Creek
1888-The Catholic Archdiocese of St. Paul is established.
1925-St. Paul's Ford Motor Company plant assembles their first car
1975-The Minnesota Twins retire the number 3, Harmon Killebrew's number
1984-Dave Kingman hits a ball to the roof of the Metrodome. It got stuck in a pocket and was ruled a ground rule double.
