Are you ready to see Target Field? The smell of fresh-cut grass is not far away as the Minnesota Twins prepare for the 2021 season.

The Twins are still in Florida until they kick off the season at Milwaukee on April 1st, and the first taste of baseball at Target Field will be on Thursday, April 8th when the Seattle Mariners come to town.

Single-game tickets for the first 17 home games of the season will be available starting on Thursday, according to the team's Twitter account.

Ticket sales start at 10 a.m. on Thursday with some new rules in effect per the Twins in regard to COVID-19 guidelines. Below is right from their website:

"There will be a limit of four (4) tickets per purchaser for the April 8 Home Opener, and twenty (20) tickets per game, per purchaser, for each of the other 19 home games through May 6.

To provide the safest environment possible for fans, staff and players, and to maximize guest comfort, the Twins will seat guests in “pods” of exactly two (2) or four (4) contiguous seats only, with a minimum distance of six (6) feet between pods in all directions. Sales are restricted to one (1) ticket purchaser per pod."

That would include three games against the Mariners, four games against the Boston Red Sox, three games against the Pittsburgh Pirates, three games against the Kansas City Royals, and three games against the Texas Rangers.

That takes them all the way up through Thursday, May 6th. Now is the time to get excited! I know Kenta Maeda is, who will take the mound as the squad's Opening Day Starter:
