The Washington County Sheriff's Office says the body of one of the victims was recovered from Big Marine Lake Friday evening and the other victim was found around 4 PM Saturday.
A news release says deputies responded to the lake in Scandia around 2 PM Friday after receiving a 911 call from a witness who reported boaters in distress on the north end of the lake. Witnesses indicated to adult males were injected from a boat after they lost control of the vessel shortly after departing from the landing.
The Sheriff's Office report on the tragedy says bystanders "heard the males calling for help and took their boats out to assist, however the men could not be located.
