I have a thing for older homes. Some people love the glimmering and gleaming white and clean look. Me, I love the history, the richness of woodwork the texture of lives that you know were a part of this home, laughs, tears, love, families.
A long time ago Edgar A Guest wrote a poem called, "Home." The main point was, "It takes a heap of living to make a house a home." I think that's true, and, when possible, I've chosen older homes or apartments. The one I'm in now was built in 1920 or so.
