Plainview, MN (KROC AM News) - A man who was arrested by Plainview police this week may have been the one who was spotted in a rural Rochester neighborhood last week driving a stolen vehicle.

A homeowner near Century High School called authorities to report a strange man walking around the house. There was concern the man was casing houses in the Rochester area.

It was later learned the vehicle the man was driving was reported stolen in St. Paul. The man arrested by Plainview police was driving the vehicle. He said a female friend had “loaned him the vehicle to drive.”

Arrested was 23-year-old Drew Davis of Minneapolis.

He is also facing charges after more than 80 stolen items were found in the vehicle. Some were from recent car prowls in Olmsted County.

Davis was arraigned Wednesday and his bail was set at $50,000.
