Questions? Olmsted County Reaching Out To Absentee Voters

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Due to an unprecedented level of interest in absentee voting caused by the pandemic, Olmsted County elections officials are addressing concerns some voters may have about the process.

Officials are expecting many voters to consider the absentee process for the first time and are offering a video to help address any questions they may have.

Those who vote absentee can track their ballot via the Minnesota Secretary of State website.

Absentee in-person: Vote in person at the Olmsted County Elections Office (2122 Campus Dr. SE, Rochester:  8 a.m. - 5 p.m). Completing an absentee application in advance will reduce your time in line but it is not required. 

Absentee by mail: Sign and return an absentee ballot request form as soon as you can to ensure you receive your ballot timely and your vote is counted on Election Day. You may also apply online at mnvotes.org. Your ballot will be sent via US Postal Service. You may send your ballot back to the county or drop it off in person at the Elections Office. You can also take your ballot to the Information Desk in the Government Center (151 4th St. SE, Rochester).
