Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Hope you didn’t put away the snowblowers and shovels yet.

Weather forecasters appear to be in agreement that a winter storm will hit southeast Minnesota Wednesday and it could produce significant snow in some areas - including Rochester.

Rain is expected through Wednesday morning and it will transition into snow later in the day and intensify through the evening. By the time it tapers off Thursday, the Rochester area could have totals of 7 - 11 inches.

The National Weather Service says the projected band of the heaviest snow is fairly narrow and could still shift, meaning there may be lower totals.
