Reward Offered After Damage to Fresh Concrete Near Spring Valley
Spring Valley, MN (KROC-AM News) - The contractor working on a repaving project in Fillmore County is offering a $5000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for driving on a section of freshly poured concrete.
A spokesperson for the Croell Company says the damage occurred sometime Thursday night or Friday morning on Fillmore County Highway 1 between Spring Valley and Ostrander. The company official says it was most likely caused by a truck, Jeep, or SUV.
The spokesperson also says the person responsible had to drive around barricades, through ditches and then jumped up onto the slab of fresh concrete. The damage was described as significant and the damaged areas may end up having to be removed and replaced at the contractor's expense.
