Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester City Council has called for an emergency meeting to be held on Sunday at 7 pm to consider consent of a Declaration of Local Emergency issued by Mayor Norton on Saturday, January 15th.

Saturday morning, Rochester Mayor Kim Norton signed a Declaration of Local Emergency requiring masks to be worn in all indoor areas accessible to the public by all individuals, regardless of their vaccination status.

The requirement begins at 6:00 am Sunday, January 16th, and will be in effect until 11:59 pm February 7th, unless it is rescinded by the City Council. The meeting will be virtual only.
